Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

This beautiful non-contact stimulator uses sonic wave technology through a sufficiently largemouth, making it easy to place on the clitoris. Made of silicone and ABS, its surface is ultra-smooth and pleasant. This sex toy has 12 vibration modes, and thanks to Automatic Cruise Control technology, it automatically increases in intensity as it is pressed against the skin. During our test, we appreciated its excellent sensations. It was one of the ones that made us vibrate the most. We also found it easy to use thanks to its three buttons that allow you to vary the mode and intensity to suit most people. It is also completely waterproof, so it can be used in the bath or shower. It is also easy to clean, although you have to dig deep into the mouth of the device. Noise-wise, at 52 dB measured at full power, it is average. It is powered by a USB rechargeable battery and lasts up to two hours with an equivalent charging time. Finally, the brand provides some accessories with the purchase (soft case, sample lubricant).

Best budget

Toyjoy Diva

This original sex toy offers surprising sensations by reproducing the movements of a cunnilingus. In addition to its effectiveness, it's compactness and reasonable price compensate for its lack of waterproofing and autonomy.

£ 45.59 on Espace Plaisir

Toyjoy Diva

This cunnilingus simulator reproduces the movements of the tongue on the clitoris thanks to its small tongue made of soft, hypoallergenic silicone. Very compact, it is easy to store and relatively simple to handle, position, and use thanks to its single illuminated button. Its four modes and three speeds are enough to induce orgasm in an individual, and during our test, we were won over by its effectiveness, although at full power, it does generate some sensitivity. Its rechargeable battery is convenient, but its autonomy is not exceptional (only 70 minutes for 120 minutes of charge). Another drawback is that it is not completely waterproof, but only resistant to falls. This means that it cannot be used in the bath or shower and that it is a little less easy to clean, especially the small tongue. As for the noise level, it is average at 51 dB measured at full power.

Best high-end

Lelo Dot

It is the best for precise stimulation and ultimate pleasure thanks to its fine, flexible tip. Its excellent design, low noise level and ease of cleaning make it a must-have.

Lelo Dot

This elegant teardrop-shaped sex toy has an ergonomic handle and a fine, flexible tip for precise targeting of the external erogenous zones. The vibrations and elliptical movements intensely stimulate the clitoris thanks to the Infinite Loop technology. Made of hypoallergenic silicone and ABS plastic, it is soft to the touch and healthy for your body. With eight vibration modes and three buttons, it is easy to use, and all intensities are effective, even the lowest. So you won’t fail to appreciate its excellent feel and power. It is also waterproof, so it can be used underwater and is very easy to clean. At just 42 dB at full power, it’s also one of the quietest we’ve tested. The only two real complaints are its high price and the fact that it takes up a little more space than the others. Also, if you like to play in pairs, the thin tip might be more difficult to place on your partner. As for power, it recharges via USB and has a satisfactory battery life (about 2 hours at full power). Lastly, it comes with a few accessories with the purchase (soft case, sample lubricant).

Budget alternative

Satisfyer Pro 2

This non-contact model is effective in giving you pleasure thanks to its suction technology. Despite its bulky design and lack of modes, it is easy to clean and waterproof.

Satisfyer Pro 2

It uses innovative pressure wave suction technology (Air Pulse). Unfortunately, it is heavier and bulkier, which makes it less natural to hold and less easy to store. However, this does not affect the positioning of its soft silicone tip. The device has 3 easy to use buttons and has variable intensity, but there aren’t any different modes. From there, you can increase the speed to a crescendo. The sensations are excellent, but after our test, we found that the later power modes could generate too much clitoral sensitivity. In terms of battery life, it lasts about 90 minutes with a similar charging time (via its magnetic USB cable). IPX7 certified, it can also be used in the shower or bathtub, and is relatively easy to clean thanks to the removable nozzle (even if you have to insist a little on the suction hole). Finally, it is slightly noisy (56 dB at maximum power).

Mid-range alternative

We-Vibe Touch X

Its compact, lockable design makes it the perfect travel companion. It acts as a massager and stimulator and is appreciated for its soft texture, variety of modes and intensities and low noise level.

We-Vibe Touch X

This touch stimulator offers body and clitoral massages through vibrations. Its sculpted shape is easy to grip and position, while its small size makes it easy to carry. Made of hypoallergenic, phthalate-, BPA- and latex-free silicone, it is body-safe, and the material is ultra-soft. It has seven vibration modes and eight levels of intensity, allowing you to adjust it to your liking with its three buttons. During our test, it gave us a satisfactory sensation. With 2 hours of battery life, its battery does not stand out in terms of endurance. However, it must be recharged with its proprietary magnetic cable. In terms of volume, it is quite quiet at only 43 dB at full power. It is also IPX7 certified, which means it can be used in the bath or shower and cleaned without any problems. Another feature to note is its lock to prevent accidental switching on during transport. Finally, the brand provides a satin storage pouch and a sample of lubricant.

High-end alternative

Womanizer Premium 2

Although very expensive, it is undoubtedly the most technologically advanced stimulator, especially thanks to its autopilot mode. We were particularly impressed by its autonomy and efficiency.

Womanizer Premium 2

Featuring Air Pleasure technology, this non-contact sex toy works with pulsating airwaves. It has 14 levels of intensity and three convenient autopilot modes that don’t require you to change the intensity manually. The Womanizer opens the way to pleasure, and after testing it, we can say that we are convinced of its power for all levels of sensitivity. Made from medical-grade silicone, it is very soft and pleasant to touch. We would also like to highlight its excellent autonomy (4 hours) for a reasonable charging time (2 hours) considering its resistance. It also goes into standby mode when it is not in contact with the body. It is waterproof and easy to clean thanks to the removable silicone tip. However, there are a few complaints, starting with the high price. It is also more cumbersome, although it is still easy to use. The brand also claims Smart Silence technology, but we still found it quite loud (61 dB at maximum power). Finally, it comes with two stimulation heads and a storage case.

How did we do the test?

Each sex toy was tested several times and in different environments (bed, shower, etc.) to check water resistance and ergonomics (ease of use, practicality of buttons, handling, shape, etc.). This allowed us to evaluate the autonomy and we also measured the noise at maximum power (we placed a sound level meter right next to the stimulator). The power supply and size of the device were also taken into account to see if it was easy to transport/store.

We also made sure to test each mode and intensity of each device to assess the softness of the material and overall feel (several testers gave us feedback on this). For connected devices, we scanned the remote and app from top to bottom. Once the test was complete, we looked at how easy it was to clean.

How to choose a clitoral stimulator?

The clitoral stimulator has recently revolutionised the female erotic toy market. It is already as popular as the classic dildos and vibrators.

Stimulateur Clitoridien

The reason is simple: contrary to popular belief, which places the vaginal orgasm in the foreground, the clitoris is the most erogenous area of the female body, with no less than 8,000 nerve endings (compared to 6,000 for the penis, sorry to say, gentlemen).

Now considered the key to female pleasure, it, therefore, deserves the most meticulous treatment. What criteria should you take into account when choosing your future favourite toy?

  • The type of sex toy: there are two categories of stimulators, contact and non-contact. The former use vibrations, rotations or movements similar to those of a tongue. The non-contact ones use a recent technology that mixes pressure waves and a suction effect to obtain equally intense sensations.

Stimulateur Clitoridien

  • The power: not everyone’s clitoral sensitivity is the same. If you don’t know where to start, look for a device with several levels of intensity, so you can start gently and gradually increase the intensity. The comments left by users on the product page can also be useful to get an idea.

Stimulateur Clitoridien

  • The functions: to vary the pleasures, it may be interesting to be able to switch between several modes (vibration, pulsation, etc.). And if you like to play, alone or with a partner, the possibility of remote control, via a remote control or smartphone connectivity, can add a little spice to the use.

Stimulateur Clitoridien

  • Manufacture: most stimulators on the market are made from ABS plastic and/or medical-grade silicone and are hypoallergenic. This is essential for safe use and optimal maintenance. You should also check that your sex toy is waterproof if you plan to take it into the bath or shower.

Other models we recommend

Romp Wave (£25.99 upon publication): another economical and practical alternative. This slightly arched model sits naturally on the clitoris and adapts to its curves. Made of hypoallergenic, medical-grade silicone, it is pleasant to the touch. With its four vibration modes and six speeds, it has a good price/performance ratio and is quite simple to use with its single button. Battery-operated and with 60 minutes of high-intensity use, its stamina is decent, but not up to the level of other competitors. While the feel is good enough, we found that other devices excelled more in performance. Despite this, we don’t have much to complain about, as it is waterproof, easy to clean and fairly quiet (only 44 dB at full power). Finally, a small detail: sex stickers are supplied with the purchase.

We-Vibe Tango (£79.00 upon publication): a compact stimulator that looks like a lipstick. It has a rounded tip that generates vibrations on the clitoris and takes up very little space, so you can take it anywhere. Although the surface is a little less smooth, it glides easily with lubricant. In total, it has eight vibration modes, and the single control button is easy to use. The sensations it offers are pleasant, but during our tests we found it to be “a bit too” powerful at high speeds, which generates clitoral sensitivity. The battery life is about 2 hours, but at full power, it is close to 45 minutes and takes 90 minutes to recharge. Its design is waterproof, so it can be used and cleaned anywhere easily. Finally, it is not excessively noisy (47dB at full power), and a storage pouch and lubricant are included with the purchase.

We-Vibe Moxie+ (£112.00 upon publication): an elegant model, ideal for couples. Very discreet and quiet in your trousers, it is easily attached with a strong magnetic clip that attaches to your underwear. It can be controlled by its remote control or by its simple and intuitive app. Between the creation of custom modes, touch mode and the ability to vibrate to music or ambient sound, it’s a fun way to remotely stimulate the clitoris and take control of your partner. Plus, the sensations are good, even if it’s more of a titillation than an actual orgasm. Made from hypoallergenic medical-grade silicone, it is soft and waterproof, making it easy to clean. Battery life is up to 2 hours on a 90-minute charge. However, it requires an internet connection to access the app, and the range is not very long.

Other models put to the test

Adrien Lastic Pocket Vibe (£16.00 upon publication): With a minimal price tag, this bunny with stimulating, floppy ears is ultra-compact, easy to clean and very quiet. However, its battery-powered design is cumbersome, and other models outperform it in terms of feel.

Lovehoney Deluxe USB Mini Wand (£43.00 upon publication): With its flexible vibrating head, it can massage any muscle or erogenous zone with its 70 possible combinations. However, it is not fully waterproof, so it cannot be used in the bath or shower, and it is quite noisy.

Womanizer Starlet 3 (£56.52 upon publication): this pulsating airwave sex toy feels good. On the other hand, the quality of its material seems cheaper, and we deplore its short battery life (only 30 minutes), although the charging time is quicker. Moreover, although the intensity is adjustable, it does not offer real vibrating modes.

Lelo Lily 3 (£78.90 upon publication): this curved mini stimulator is one of the most compact, lightest and quietest we’ve found, making it a great travel model. Smooth and full of vibrating options, it provides good sensations, but the first few speeds don’t have a great effect on the clitoris.

Womanizer Liberty (£86.00 upon publication): this non-contact stimulator has a magnetic case, which is handy for carrying it around and keeping it discreet. However, we didn’t find enough variation in the modes, it is slightly noisy and the first few speeds don’t work quite right. Therefore, its price/performance ratio seems less interesting to us.

Lelo Sila Cruise (£159.60 upon publication): this non-contact sonic vibrator has an original design with a large mouth and automatic cruise control for ease of use. It is also easy to clean. However, we found it a little underpowered and noisy.
