Compact, lightweight and comfortable to hold, this hand warmer offers very precise temperature settings and allows you to keep a constant eye on the battery level thanks to its LED display.
After our test, this is the model that brings together, in our eyes, the greatest number of assets, allowing it to show an almost unbeatable quality/price ratio. In addition to its design and format, which make it very pleasant to hold, it has a display on which the temperature can be adjusted to the nearest degree, between 35°C (95℉) and 55°C (131ºF). The same display also shows the battery status, with a % figure. With a power of 5200 mAh, it can last from 4 to 8 hours, with charging time reduced to 2-3 hours. It comes with a case and wrist strap, so it’s easy to take anywhere and can even be used as a backup battery for your phone with its USB to USB-C adapter.
This hand warmer is very easy to use: the display indicates the chosen temperature (40, 50 or 60°C / 104, 122 or 140 ºF), while a double click turns on the light. With a rather large format, we found it a little less pleasant in the hand than its competitors, but it remains effective all the same. Its 6000 mAh battery gives it a maximum autonomy of 12 hours. Unfortunately, the charge level is difficult to assess, as the 4 LEDs only light up briefly when the device is switched on. And please note that for the Power Bank function, you need a cable adapted to your phone, as the micro USB connector limits its possibilities.

Very popular among users, this hand warmer convinced us thanks to its format and coating, which are pleasant in the hand, as well as its ease of use and its power bank function.
Although it comes from a lesser known brand, after testing it, we can say that it is a very interesting alternative. It also has a lot of positive feedback from users. Indeed, it has many assets: a 5200 mAh battery with a battery life of 7 hours, simple operation (3 LEDs indicating both the temperature – in red – and the battery level – in blue) and a compact and lightweight oval format that is pleasant to hold. It also comes with a USB to USB-C adapter, as it can also be used as a backup battery for your smartphone. We placed it as an alternative simply because we found its heating a little loud and therefore less comfortable.

Honorable mentions
Infray (£24.99 upon publication): a high autonomy alternative. This device stands out for its 9000 mAh battery, which can last up to 14 hours in non-extreme conditions. However, this means a longer charging time (7-8 hours). We preferred it to other models in its price range because it is longer and heavier than most of its rivals, which we found less comfortable, but it is still pleasant in the hand and convenient to take with you thanks to the strap and cover provided.

How to choose a hand warmer?
In winter, we often opt for warm clothing. But sometimes it’s not enough to wrap up in a coat, scarf, hat or gloves, because our hands are still inexplicably cold.

Fortunately, the hand warmer is an obvious solution to this problem. To help you choose the model best suited to your needs, we have compiled a list of criteria to consider before purchasing:
- The battery: the USB rechargeable hand warmer is powered by a battery. Therefore, you should not only pay attention to the battery’s autonomy, but also to its charging capacity. Generally, it varies between 2500 and 8000 mAh, and it is better to opt for models with a capacity of 5200 mAh.

- Temperature settings: more and more devices offer the possibility to adjust the temperature to different levels. The more precise the settings, the more comfortable it is to use.
- Heat distribution: Before buying a hand warmer, it is important to find out how the heat is distributed. While some devices only heat on one side (for one hand), others heat on both sides, so the heat is distributed simultaneously

- The shape and weight: this type of device should be small and light enough to fit easily in the palm of your hand. And while some of them are rectangular, we recommend choosing an oval shape, which is more comfortable to hold. The presence of a strap and/or a carrying case is also an advantage.
- Additional functions: some models have a supplementary flashlight function, so they could be quite useful at night, and others can even act as a real external battery for your smartphone.
