Mishansha Winter
Offering the best ratio of softness, warmth and affordability, these faux fur-trimmed slippers are the best in our opinion. Their comfortable soles are non-slip for added safety.
At this price level, it’s hard to beat. Our tests proved that these slippers are very comfortable. Made of synthetic fibres and rubber, they have a soft interior. The slippers are slightly high and provide good warmth to the whole foot, which is well-wrapped. However, they fit a little small, and we had our toes touching the bottom. You should therefore plan to wear one size larger than your usual size. Finally, note that if this colour does not suit you, they are available in 5 other colours.
These slippers have managed to distinguish themselves from their direct competitor’s thanks, in particular, to the Iconic Crocs Comfort technology which makes them both comfortable and light. Crocs Classic Luxe
The strength of these slippers is nothing less than the comfort they provide. Made by Crocs (a brand known worldwide for its quality designs), they do indeed feature the Iconic Crocs Comfort technology, which is characterised by its foam sole. And, in our tests, we found them to be solid and stable, which made them feel good. In terms of warmth, their size means that the heel is not warm, but the rest of the foot does not have this concern. We also noticed that they are very soft on the inside. However, the design seems to us too particular to please everyone, and their size 39-40 corresponds more to a 39 than to a 40.
UGG W Scuffette II
These slippers offer the best support for the foot. Their solid soles provide very good stability while walking. The feet are warm, even if they are not the softest.
Our tests have shown that these slippers are too small. Therefore, we recommend that you choose a larger size than you are used to. The open design makes them easy to put on by simply slipping your foot in. However, while this keeps most of the foot warm, the heel is naturally less warm. We found the materials to be of high quality, although the interior is not the softest. In addition, the rubber sole was very solid and gave us very good stability when walking. However, one of our testers had a tendency to slip her foot.
Mishansha Cute Cartoon
With their super cute design, these slippers are easy to put on and very soft inside. In addition, they are comfortable and have a good non-slip sole.
When we opened the package, we found that we received a size smaller than what we ordered. The brand knows that its sizes are too small for the European market and automatically provides a size larger than the one you order. Consequently, the 40-41 is a size 39 (although we had ordered a 39-40). On the other hand, we found these slippers comfortable with their soft plush interior. We felt good in them and the non-slip sole gave us some security when walking.

How did we do the tests?
To test the women’s slippers, we chose them all in size 39 when possible to fit our two testers. This allowed us to judge whether they tended to be the right size or whether, on the contrary, they were too big/small. We also gave our own opinion on their design and/or materials.
After that, we checked their comfort, softness, fit and ability to keep warm. Finally, we walked around with them for a few metres to check if they stayed in place or if they got lost.
How to choose your slippers?
After a long day of walking or standing, there’s nothing like coming home to slip your feet into comfortable slippers.
Considered by many as a first-choice gift, they come in a multitude of models, all of which meet the ever-growing demand.
But how do you make the best choice? To help you decide which slippers are most likely to meet your needs, we have listed the criteria to consider.
First of all, you should know that there are different variants:
- Slippers: as well as covering the front of your foot, they are open at the back. Unfortunately, while this makes them easy to put on, it also affects how well they fit, as well as how warm they are (because of the air supply).
- Slip-on: these soft models cover the whole foot. Not only can you slip in and out easily, but they also keep you warm. Note that they can also come in the form of booties, for an even greater calorific contribution.
- Charentaises: traditionally from the Charentes region and made from felt waste, they are designed to cover the entire foot. Although they resemble slippers, they differ from them in that they have rigid soles and tongues that run up the front of the foot.
- Moccasins: light and durable, they are usually made of animal skin. In addition, the solidity of the materials they use makes them suitable for partial outdoor use.
Once you have taken these considerations into account, you will then need to choose a pair based on :
- The material: your choice will depend on the season in which you want to wear your slippers. But, in general, always opt for breathable and resistant materials.
- Use: although slippers are primarily designed for indoor use, many of us go out into the garden or garage and leave them on our feet… If this is also the case for you, a solid and durable sole is more than necessary.
- Additional features: more and more models have additional features such as memory foam padding for optimum comfort, anti-shock soles to ensure a good fit, and even anti-slip soles that allow you to walk on slippery surfaces without fear of an unexpected fall.
Other recommended slippers
Skechers Cozy Campfire Team Toasty (£26.49 upon publication): perfect when sitting, but you lose them when walking. These slippers are really the right size (a 39 is a good 39). Our tests showed that they were very soft and comfortable. However, while they fit well when sitting, we tended to lose them a bit when walking in them. While this is not a big deal in itself, it did prevent us from putting them in our main selection.
Other tested slippers
Ultraideas Ladie´s Comfort (£15.99 upon publication): cut too small. According to our tests, these shoes are one size smaller than advertised. In our opinion, they are not the warmest of all and their look could be a bit more modern.
Celanda Ladie´s Comfort (£15.99 upon publication): far too small. We ordered 39-40 for this pair of slippers and received 40-41. This is because the brand believes that its sizes do not correspond to European standards and systematically sends a size above what is requested. However, this pair of 40-41 turned out to be 37-38 in our opinion…
Airee Faire (£18.99 upon publication): soles that are too narrow. Their narrow soles make walking unstable and impractical. In addition, they are smaller than the advertised size. In short, apart from their cool look and warmth, there’s not much good about them.
Giesswein Veitsch (£60.56 upon publication): the least warm and mild of all. For slippers at this price, we expected much better. However, we were quite disappointed: their comfort is correct, but nothing more; they are not soft; they are the least warm of all…
